Scope and launch status
This policy describes the ALIBI website, support correspondence and the app features described below. The iPhone app is being prepared for public release. A description of an app feature does not mean it is currently available. App disclosures will be checked against the released build before launch and updated when its data practices change.
Visiting this website
You can browse without creating an account. This website does not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts, newsletter forms or non-essential cookies. Its images, fonts and scripts are served with the website. Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and may process IP addresses, request details and technical logs to deliver content and prevent abuse.
Contacting support
When you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments or technical information you choose to send. We use these to answer your request, investigate a problem and handle follow-up. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards incoming mail to the operator's Gmail support mailbox, where Google processes and stores it. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details or other people's private information.
Information used by the app
The phones, messages, contacts, photos and other records inside a case are fictional story content. Investigating a case does not read your real messages, address book, bank account or browsing history.
- Player identity and progress: an anonymous player identifier, authentication session, chosen profile information, saved progress and results support gameplay. If you use a leaderboard, your chosen profile and score may be visible to others.
- Game actions: case identifiers, answers, clues, timing and results are sent to the game service to save progress, check answers and validate scores.
- Purchases: Apple handles App Store billing. RevenueCat processes product identifiers, transaction and subscription status and the player identifier to grant or restore Pro. We do not receive your complete payment-card details.
- Optional features: an avatar you choose to upload, a permission you explicitly grant or an in-app support report is used for the selected feature. Notification tokens are processed only if the released app offers notifications and you enable them. Any optional advertising or diagnostic collection must be disclosed before it is enabled.
Service providers and international processing
The website and email services described above use Cloudflare and Google. The app's planned services include Supabase for authentication, game records and files, RevenueCat for subscription management, Apple for distribution and billing, and Expo for app delivery and supported updates. Data may be processed outside your country. We share information with providers as needed to operate these services, or when required by applicable law or to protect the service. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
We keep support correspondence while needed to resolve the request and handle relevant follow-up, disputes or legal obligations. You can ask us to delete it. Hosting and security logs follow the provider's service settings and applicable retention schedules; this policy does not promise a single fixed period for every provider.
When the app is available, player records are kept to provide your active game profile and progress. Its server data-deletion action removes the player profile, runs, scores, submitted feedback and uploaded avatar. A local reset only clears local progress. Provider backups and records needed for security, fraud prevention, disputes or legal obligations may follow separate retention schedules. Apple and RevenueCat may retain their own purchase records. Deleting player data does not cancel a subscription.
Your requests and choices
Contact [email protected] to request information, access, correction or deletion of personal data, or to raise a privacy concern. Rights and exceptions depend on the law that applies to you. We may need enough information to verify the request without asking for unrelated data. Use device settings to manage permissions and Apple subscription settings to manage billing. If you have an unresolved concern, you may contact the relevant data-protection authority where applicable.
Children and policy changes
ALIBI is a fictional mystery game, not a service directed at young children. Refer to the released app's store age rating. A parent or guardian can contact us about a child's information. We will update this page when practices change, revise the date, and provide any additional notice or choice required by applicable law.
